The No. 1A Speed Kodak was a really sophisticated Kodak rollfilm viewfinder camera that made 2 1/2 × 4 1/4" exposures on type No. 116 cartridged rollfilm. The folding bed camera was made in Rochester from 1909 to 1913. Its specialty was the versatile Graflex focal plane shutter with speeds from 1 sec. to 1/1000 sec. plus time mode. It was made with different lenses:

  • Zeiss-Kodak Anastigmat f.6.3
  • or Zeiss Tessar IIb f/6.3
  • or Zeiss Double Amatar f/6.8
  • or C.P. Goerz Berlin Double-Anastigmat Serie 1B Celor F=125mm 1:4.8 PAT
  • or Goerz Dagor f/6.8 .
  • or Cooke Series III f/4.5
  • or Cooke Series IV f/5.6
  • or Cooke Series II f/4.5
  • or Beck Anastigmat f/5.8
  • or Beck No. 4 Special Anastigmat f/5.6

With Kodak-Zeiss lens it cost 60 US-Dollars.
