The late K-mount Alpa image by Siim Vahur (Image rights) |
While Alpa was still producing its premium, hand-assembled, Alpa 11si in Switzerland, the company made an odd effort to branch out into the mid-price SLR segment, by collaborating with Chinon. Following after the Alpa Si 2000, The Alpa Si 3000 is a restyled version of the Chinon CE-4, including its use of the Pentax K mount rather than a traditional Alpa mount.
An Alpa Si 3000 S continued the series, this being a straight rebadge of the Chinon CG-5.
