Breaking the mold for a 110 film camera, the Skylark 110 models sold with Argus branding are held vertically like a conventional camera.

By this era the Argus trademark had passed through several hands, and the Hong Kong origins of the Skylark models are suggestive—particularly the red-button version with an Ansconar lens.

The Ansco trademark had been acquired by Haking in 1978. There may be a connection between Haking Super-Mini cameras and Argus Palmatic models. Furthermore, near-identical novelty cameras that clip directly to a 110 cartridge have been seen under Halina, Ansco, and Argus branding.
