HP Photosmart R607 is a 4.1 megapixel compact auto-focus digital camera. It makes still pictures 2320×1744 pixels (effective pixels), stored in JPEG format, and can also take MPEG video (288×216 pixels) at 24 frames per second.
The lens is a 5.8-17.4 mm zoom (35 - 105 mm equivalent in 35mm format), made by Pentax. The aperture range is f/2.6 - f/4.3 at the wide end of the zoom, and f/4.8 - f/7.6 at the tele end. The shutter speed range is 16 - 1/2000 sec. There is a tripod bush for slow speed use. The camera has a zooming optical finder, and a 1.5 inch, 502×240 pixel LCD screen. It has a built-in flash, and cannot connect to an external flash. It accepts both Secure Digital (SD) and MultiMediaCard (MMC) storage, up to 512 MB (HP state that storage up to 8 GB may work but has not been tested; larger storage will not work). The camera uses a rechargeable lithium battery.
