Does the Olympus Mju series really fit in here? The original has a triplet, and the Mju II has an aspherical rear element. All the rest are zooms. --Idrougge (talk) 11:48, 18 August 2013 (PDT)
- I agree it seems odd. I think it is interesting if the real point - that modern cameras have been (are still?) made with Tessar-formula lenses - is true; but maybe a more convincing example might be found. Anyhow, the text shouldn't read as if the whole series is fitted with Tessars. Go ahead and do whatever edit you think right.
- I see a couple more entries that I may investigate too: I have an Ernemann camera with an Ernon, and I think I've taken it apart and found it to be a triplet (I'll check my notes). I could add a couple more entries too. The statement that the design 'isn't a modified triplet but a modified Unar' could do with substantiation too, though I don't see that the point matters much - I think I've seen a suitable ref on another wiki page. Finally, I bet we can find the patent for one or more generations of Tessar.
- Cheers! --Dustin McAmera (talk) 13:08, 18 August 2013 (PDT)
