VEB WEFO (Werkstätte für Feinmechanik und Optik) was a short-lived state-owned company in Dresden after the Second World War, formed from the camera works that had first been Kochmann, and was run during the War by G.H. Brandtmann. Although Brandtmann had continued development of camera designs during the War, WEFO only produced the Meister-Korelle. The works was taken over by Welta in 1951.[1]
